In 1986 Karakoram dual carriageway opened linking the Northern areas of Pakistan to the relaxation of the country and following a part of the historic silk roads, the street connects Pakistan to China thru the Khunjerab pass at an altitude of 5000 m. 

The journey from the Himalayan foot hills to Khunjerab pass has an first rate landscape and is an amazing avenue trip. You cross from rolling lush hills within the foot hills of the Himalayas to the all rock high peaks in the Karakoram. The extraordinary adventure passes alpine lakes, excessive mountains and ends on the chinese language border the highest border crossing inside the international at 4,693 m (15,397 ft).
