The Khyber Pass is a famous arched gate. Through which people enter the Khyber Pass. Jamrud Fort is located to its right. It is located just west of Peshawar, the provincial capital of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The Khyber Pass was built in 1963 during the military rule of General Ayub Khan. The Bab chapter is considered to be the most famous sketch of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after the independence of Pakistan. Bab Khyber is located at an altitude of 1066 meters above sea level. The Khyber Pass or Khyber Pass in itself has a special significance in history.

The pass a few miles from Peshawar, 33 miles for long, on Pakistan's northwestern border. Surrounded by high dry and rugged mountains. The width is only ten feet in one place. It is the largest mode of transportation between Pakistan and Afghanistan. The great importance in history as many conquerors came to the subcontinent from the northwest. That's the way it is. Bab Khyber and Qila Jamrud are located nearby.
The famous Durand Line travels long distances through the high mountains of the Khyber Pass. The Torkham Pak-Afghan border stretches for 56 km or about 35 miles to reach the vast plains of the subcontinent and South Asia, whether for displacement or invasion. This pass has always played an important role in history. What is it. This valley is considered to be a complete history of the rise and fall of nations, civilizations, conquerors and new religions.
In fact, the road starts from Shadi Ghiar just beyond Jamrud Pass and reaches Torkham on the Pak-Afghan border, which is about 33 miles long. To highlight the historical significance of the Khyber Pass at Jamrud, a beautiful arched gate has been built on the highway called "Bab Khyber" which is also a symbol of local culture. Khyber Gate was a built in June 1963. Bab Khyber also has various plaques inscribed with the names of the rulers and invaders who passed through this pass. Bab Khyber also has a jirga hall where meetings of tribal representatives are held, at a high place in Jamrud. There is also a gray fort, which looks like a ship. that was a built by Sikh general Hari Singh Nalwa in 1836 to protect the Khyber Pass.
Founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah visited Khyber Pass three times. After the formation of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam came to Khyber Pass in 1948. He expressed full of the confidence in the tribal people, called back to the troops from the tribal areas and praised the locals. Khyber Pass is a trade and transportation of the route between Pakistan and Central Asia.
